The ASL Ministry is committed to making sure all of God’s children have the opportunity to receive encouragement through his Word. Our Vision is to supply Christ Centered Interpreting and bring the word of God to the lost to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ to help strengthen his kingdom.

The ASL Ministry was established as an Evangelism tool, to effectively minister Gods’ Word, in order to reach and encourage the Deaf. Our purpose is to interpret Gods Word in ASL. The ASL Ministry is in place to serve as an Outreach Ministry. The ASL Ministry is an avenue to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ through our hands to Deaf, Hard of Hearing and Hearing people.

The ASL Ministry is composed of Deaf, Hard of Hearing, novice signers, experienced signers, Men, Women and Children.

Interpreting Services are provided by the ASL Ministry every Sunday for Sunday school at 9:15 am and 10:45 am Worship services and Wednesday Night Bible Study. Also, upon request interpreting services are provided at 7:30am services in addition to special in house services and scheduled outings of the church.

The ASL Ministry, through God’s grace has been able to equip its interpreters to teach Sign Language Classes at Mt Sinai on a Bi-Annual basis. There is a Beginners and an Intermediate Class offered. The classes are 10 weeks long and are offered in January-March and in August-October and are available to everyone in the community at no charge.

In May of 2009, we hosted our 2nd annual Women’s Tea.

October 2009, we will host our 1st Annual Deaf Revival. More details to follow……

S.H.O.W (Silent Hands of Worship)

An American Sign Language choir is a group of people that use their God given talent of understanding and conveying ASL through song in the language of the Deaf. SHOW is a uniformed body of believers, worshipping him through our hands.   The SHOW (Silent Hands of Worship) Ministry is a Christian ASL (American Sign Language) Choir.

The SHOW Choir ministers every 3rd Sunday at both 7:30 and 10:45 services.
