Orlando Community Black History Month Celebration

Black History Essay contest deadline has been extended to January 29th at 5:00 pm
In recognition of Black History Month in February, Orange County students and their parents are encouraged to attend the 2010 Community Black History Celebration on Saturday, February 20 from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the James R. Smith Center, 1723 Bruton Boulevard, in Orlando. The event is hosted by Orlando City Commissioner Samuel B. Ings with the support of other elected officials, community leaders and volunteers.
The theme of this year’s event is “IF YOU CAN DREAM IT, YOU CAN DO IT!” Orange County youth will participate in a series of activities.
Pastor Lantz Mills and First Lady Keisha Mills will be celebrating their First Anniversary at New Day Spring MBC in Lake City Florida. A banquet will be held in their honor on February 27th at 6:00pm at Olivet Missionary Baptist Church located at 901 Davis Street, Lake City, Florida.

Doubles are $99.00 per night and room with one King is $139.00 per night. There is no group rate(s) and each person is responsible for making their own reservations.
Adults (16 – up) are $25.00 per person and children (5-16) $10.00. If you are bringing children who are under the age of 5, please let me know so that accommodations can be made at the banquet for those individuals even though they are NOT purchasing a ticket. March 16-18, 20 & 21, we will be celebrating our 63rd Church Anniversary and we are honored to have Dr. Mack King Carter as our guest Preacher along with other dynamic preachers lecturing during the 3 day revival! Each member is asked to give a $100.00.

Attached is the brochure with detailed itinerary and enrollment forms. A total deposit of $300 per person is due by the end of January, 2010. Once the deposits are received in the Travel Agents office, each person will be mailed a separate trip package which will include payment schedules along with what percentage of payments received are refundable as well as other key things to remember. So please make sure all information is read carefully. Your initial deposit and enrollment will be submitted to the church office. All payments there after should be mailed to the Travel Agent as instructed in information packets.
