Tribe Ministry
The purpose of the Tribe/Homebound Ministry is to connect
the body together through communication. It is a care ministry
that not only makes calls to each member in an effort to
bring us together as one family, but also in delivering
the message of God through teaching and prayer to the sick&shut-in,
the hospitalized, the temporarily homebound and those in
nursing homes.
The original concept of the ministry is to provide
the following:
• There are twelve Tribe leaders that share information
with several captains in each Tribe. Each captain will then
touch each family member by phone, regular mail, email and/or
in person on a regular basis.
• The tribe assists the Mission Ministry by providing support
and encouragement during family tragedies and bereavement.
• Assist the new members orientation class by connecting
and keeping close contact with new members.
• Stay in close contact with the church office making them
aware of any changes and/or issues that may arise within
the individual tribes.
• Institute a link of reaching out to the health care and
Bowling Ministries.
• Work with the Health Care Ministry so that the membership
will be able to feel a one on one connection in addition
to direct access to good health awareness.
• As a recreational
outreach, we will support the bowling ministry throughout
the season (January-May).
• Visibly welcome our members with our "Greeting at
the door" concept.
• Actively participate in the 5th Sunday services by welcoming
our visitors and participating in collection of offering.
