RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To be Spiritual.
2. To be on time (twenty minutes prior to service)
3. To be ready for emergencies - know the church and its
exits
4. To be familiar with equipment- lights, heating and sound
controls
5. To be prepared with all materials for the worship service
-bulletins, song books, insert cards, plates, and robes
6. To be dependable, willing, and pleasant in executing
your work
7. To be willing to accept correction from the head usher
or Pastor
8. To know available seats for every service
9. To know the proper seating for the following: meetings,
programs, cantatas and baptismal services, as well as regular
service
10. To know your post and its responsibility thoroughly
and to stay there as long as needed
11. To know the duties of each post - be able to handle
any post
12. To know when to usher and when you shouldn’t; certainly
not during prayer and scripture reading
